Basic Information on AutoLISP :

 

Function Syntax: Every AutoLISP function has the following syntax

(function_name argument_1 argument_2 …) In this reference we have followed the following convention in function syntax

(function_name <argument_1> [<argument_2>…])

Points to be noted and followed while writing AutoLISP program

  • Every function starts with an open parenthesis “(“.
  • Every function ends with a close parenthesis “)”.
  • The essential argument is shown with angular braces “< >”.
  • The optional arguments are shown in square braces “[< >]“.
  • The possible additional argument are shown as dots “…”.

For E.g.

(+ <num1> <num2> …)
